This stunning idyll was built ten years ago, yet is as far removed (architecturally) from traditional Barbados design as is possible. Here in Alang Alang Bay you will not find the typical coral rendered classical columns and marble floors; instead think towering ceilings clad with Alang Alang (an indigenous material found in Indonesia) and Palamanian stone, the colour of half baked meringue, interspersed with ponds twitching with a collection of rare fish.
